The next household is a Achiever household. Yes, this Achievers. The Achievers are generally interesting folks. At primary glance, you think theyre inside materialism, but when you cut through the veneer, its not materialism. Al Achiever can be a guy who discovered early in his life, when he was ten years old, that his father didnt really spending some time with him unless he performed, unless he was captain in the football team, unless he was number 1 in his class. Sure enough, Al was. His father died tragically any time he was a junior in high school. Al went on to help graduate from an Ivy League school, and now he is CEO, at 42 years of age, of a Fortune 500 corporation. Hes got to succeed, though. Hes got to achieve. He still feels his fathers menacing shadow over his shoulder, saying, Its inadequate. He performs together with performs and performs. Hes wedded to Alice. Her parents were immigrants and shes inside same trap. Al became so angry, and he made such a big scene at football practice. His son, who is eight yrs . old, has a mildly deformed foot. His son didnt generate the starting team together with he went ballistic. Your coach said, Please dont pull him heli-copter flight team, and Ing said, My son will start. My son is a champion. My son is a good player or he does not play at all. The Achiever family.
Theres an additional family, though, on the road. The Restless family. They are just restless. Ron together with Rene Restless. As you walk around the Restless household, you see two or three boxes from L. L. Bean. In their free time they look through catalogs. Cabellas, Neimans. They get stuff. Theyve got to be the first to get the newest and the brightest and the thing with the most bells and whistles on it in the neighborhood. Theyre usually upgrading. Their kids are upgrading, even their rollerblades. Theyre stressed. They really cannot get, nor can they get, contentment. They cant get any satisfaction out of life.
